Can you believe its February already? After all the planning, goal setting and resolutions; it is now time to turn the page into implementation stage. For some its a matter of accelerating and for others like me, it really is about seeking new grace to walk into new territories.
There is something about walking on new territory that requires one to carry less load and generally, there is also something about me that truly appreciates carrying less luggage (figuratively and otherwise). I continue to walk into new territory and so I say “behold I am doing new things, the old has gone and the new has come.” I receive the favour and all the gifts God has lined up for me in 2016.
The YES year, the YES season is upon me, like an expectant person I want to travel lighter and leave space for what’s to come. I am expectant and I want to see and hear when I am called to receive and so I start of the year by ditching all the glitches that may be on my way. You see what I have learned about divine connections is that we sometimes miss them because of all the noise around us, we miss our turn because we struggle to march ahead to the front to collect what’s rightfully ours; this is because we carry so much that we no longer need. It is this load that makes u struggle to navigate.
Mhh, you could almost call it a poor signal. Our signal is poor because we are heavy laden. This is the load that creates glitches in our divine connections. You see this is a lot like the relationship we have with our smart phones; in order to upload new apps, sometimes you have to delete old apps to create more space. We sometimes need to update apps for our smart phones to work effectively and efficiently. One can decide to update and upload even with limited space but what this does is limit the effectiveness of all the applications on your phone. At this point the best way becomes deleting what is no longer required and what is no longer useful. Ditch your glitches.
So in 2016,my YES year! I am ditching the following glitches in order to improve my connection and elevate my step.
- Procrastination – because I am of the most high; who makes way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, He says “Remember not the former things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43: 16, 18-19
- Self Reliance – because He says “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.’” Jeremiah 6:16
- Fear– because He says “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous” Joshua 1:5
- Doubt – because He say “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
- Worry – because He says “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” Matt 6
As the new year starts, I encourage you too to also release old applications that you no longer have use for in your life in order to create space for the apps you need to raise your step. Put all your goals in His hand and expect the unexpected. Wait upon Him who is for us and see Him deliver on His promise.
Happy new year to everyone, indeed may it be prosperous for each of us in the ways we all define prosperity for ourselves.

Insightful and inspiring. As we ditch old habits that have been holding us back from achieving our goals and realising our potential, we have to develop new habits. Habits that we ensure that we are able to move forward with vigour and determination.
We will never know our full potential until we step our of our comfort and venture into the unknown. It may be frightful, scary and discomforting, however, the focus should always be on the end goal and the fulfilment we will derive from attaining our goals.

I always put stuff I want to live by on the wall so I can see it every morning. Sometimes in my diary because I do keep a manual one…. That way I read it before I start my day. Try it with whatever you want to do and you will see how effective it is. Align it to a habit you do every day.
