Dec17“When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. if you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself” said an unknown author.  A year is a long time to not have something to be grateful for, it is this reason that makes me agree more with this author.

Mhhh, where do I begin… The cliche saying “when God shows up He shows off”  could not be any more truer than it is to me this year.  its either that or I have low expectations, but I dare say its definitely not the latter.

True to His word in Joel 2:25 where He says, “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten, the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm my great army that I sent among you” I have seen God restore my years.  You would have to have been part of the past to truly  get the present but please allow me to have this moment even without much context. Lord You Are Great!!!!

  • Thank you for restoring my purpose and fixing the foundation. Thank you for the multiple blessings of 2017. Your orchestration is absolutely impeccable.
  • Thank you for giving me the strength of David over Goliath, you have given me bold faith. You have taught me that I do not have to be in the army to win the war, My strength is in the gifts you have given me. I do not have to fight physically because that has been taken care of.
  • Thank you for allowing me to be weak so I could learn to depend on you. You have become my strong hold, my place of refuge. All the time you are with me.
  • Thank you for the gift of family, blood and all. There are things I would have never know where to begin with but You were ahead of me at every curve with the right soldier. Surely, it is You who made it happen. I am blessed with the most wonderful people in my life. I can never thank You enough for each and everyone of them.
  • Lord I am thankful for your promises, which are new every morning. There is nothing more comforting than a tomorrow that has You.

In agreement with David in the book of Psalms (100 verse 4) today I will enter His gates with great thanks giving in my heart,  I will enter His courts with praise. Indeed, this is the day that the Lord has made.
